Hi Horse Pals ~
This week we had a fabulous jumping week.
Dandy and I specifically worked on the turns into the jumps and staying straight. There was one turn in particular that was really challenging - it was a single diagonal that Dandy and I spent a good part of a lesson working on. We had excellent workouts and Dandy really worked hard; she was really sweating! We did courses with an oxer, a one stride line, a cross rail and 3 verticals.
I had a lot of fun riding Jimmy this week. I had GREAT flatwork - we did fabulous circles and had great rhythm. We went over trot polls and then we jumped cross rails. He did great. He had a great rhythm (sometimes he goes too fast) and his turns were perfect and he went straight down the middle.
Avery LOVES LOVES LOVES riding so much!! She wants to ride every horse in the barn EVERY day! But who doesn't love to ride?! Last week, she had her first canter in the rain and she loved it.
Avery jumped OB this week and did great. She had been trotting to and over the jumps and this week she cantered them. She had great lessons all week.
As always, we had fun playing with our Horse Pals at the barn. We hope you had a great riding week, too. Happy trails!
Your Horse Pal,
@raya

Hi Cl@ire ~
Great to hear from you! We've missed you, Horse Pal! Have you been busy or what? We hope Cate had a blast at her birthday! That's so cool you're playing the violin now! We actually had an intro lesson at park day one day and it was so cool - the violin sounds so pretty! I've been busy working on Christmas carols on the piano - I really like to play!
I'll have to check out the book series - you know how much I love to read!
Tell us more about Marci's pal Max - we would love to add a photo of them together on the blog! Have you seen all the cool new stuff we've added in the last month? There's new artwork, tons of new photos ... you can check it all out. Oh, and by the way, do you have Stable Days because we're running a contest for one right now ... let all your friends know, too.
Anyways, so glad to hear from you ... keep in touch, lots of love,
@raya

Hey Araya,
Sorry I haven't been on in so long... I started playing the violin, started a great new book series, started up a fun bookclub, have had 3 tests in one week, my now 3 year old sister's fun Strawberry shortcake birthday party, my uncle and aunt came visiting and, not to mention, a few amazing jumping days with Marci! To give you a more descriptive story- I went to horse backriding and we went over a few outside lines and had a blast cantering with Marci's horse pal Max. My aunt and uncle came for Cate's birthday, where my mom sewed her a dress and Cate got a dollhouse and a TON of my little pony stuff! I have started the violin (or fiddle! Hehe!) and absolutely love it! I'm reading a book series called Mitford. It's by Jan Karon and is great! The first book is called At Home in Mitford. I'm in a bookclub with my mom and we love it, because we love to read! Thanks for your e- mail! Cl@ire

hello Araya, Jimmy looks great, I'm glad you had a good time. I am off to see my grandmother in London, so I won't be following you this week, I will miss reading what you've been up to. I will catch up with your blog next week.
My mom is so funny, she thought I was leaving Wednesday, but I am going tomorrow - she is so silly
