It has been a lot of fun to teach Dandy, my green horse, to jump! This week Dandy and I had an incredible jumping lesson! Dandy did her first jumping course with 5 jumps and did really well. The course included a cross rail, single vertical and a 3 jump vertical line and we did a few different courses with the five jumps. It was Dandy's first time doing 3 jumps in one row and I couldn't have asked her to do a better job. I had a great pace throughout the courses. I felt like I could ride forever! I can't wait to jump again!

@raya

Hi Cl@ire ~
The fly mask I use for Dandy is Cashel's Crusader Fly Mask and here is more info I found online:
Crusader Fly Mask⢠from Cashel, now available in pink with 70% UV protection, double darts around the eye area and a patented forelock hole. In an effort to aid in the fight against breast cancer, Cashel will give 5% of the proceeds from every pink fly mask purchased to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Are the twins your siblings? I can't believe you've rode on Tennessee walking horses! I would love to...you are so lucky! What have you been doing this week? Well, I start school Monday so, I might not be on her quite so often but, I'll still keep in touch! I'm not really that good at drawing horses but, I love to take pictures of them! Hi Cl@ire ~
I just realized you sent another post before the one I answered. Wow ... a triplet! We have a set of twins in our family but I don't know any triplets, Well, now I do! That's so cool.
That's so great that you came to riding through the therapeutic riding school - we have one at our barn and horses have such a powerful healing power. I know I love them!! And jumping is my favorite sport, too!!
And, yea, you can just send the photos as attachments in an e-mail to araya@stabledays.net and then I can put them on the blog. Also, if you like to draw or paint, you can make a picture and then scan it and e-mail it to me and I can put that in the art scrapbook.
Love, your horse pal,

Hi Cl@ire ~
I've had a super busy week so I'm just getting to my blog today! I tried to go to your mom's blog you gave me but it said there were no sites matching that address. Maybe you can double check if you have the exact address correct.
I LOVE the Little House series ... I have read all of the Laura years and I've read Farmer Boy like 5 times! I've also read all of the Rose years which is Laura's daughter and they're great, too! Right now I'm reading the Caroline years which is Laura's Ma's stories ... I'm on the fourth book in that series.
I love Saddle Club, too, both the tv show and the books. I've never read the Phantom Stallion series ... I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the tip!
I've also read the Misty books. I definitely favor the paint since that's my girl! My sister and I have actually rode Tennessee Walkers ... our friends own and love Tennessee Walkers and invited us to ride at their barn. They are a VERY smooth ride - it was so much fun!
Can't wait to see a photo of Marci!
Bye,
@raya

Araya,
I love the little hoouse on the prairie seris, too! Have you read all of them? I have! They are great and I also love the saddle club series and one called the phantom stallion series! Have you ever read them? They are really good! Have you ever seen the saddle club T.V. show? It's really good too! have you ever read Misty of Chincoteage? Ther is several books but that is the first one. Have you ever read them? Whenever Iread them they make ma want to go and buy a chincoteague pony! I'm not sure if I would rather have a Paint, Appaloosa,Chincoteague or, just recently I've thought of a Tennessee walking horse. If you haven't heard of them, they're horses who have a gait in between a walk/trot and they were considdered one of the most comfortable horse when in their walk/trot. But, I really like them for their personalities. They're very laid back and they are gantle and tolerant. I think they would make a great pleasure horse. When I'm grown up I might get a paint and a retired Tennessee walking horse to be his pasture pal. Well, the tennessee walking horse would still be rideable but, not very much. I'm still not sure though. Well, bye!
love,
claire

Araya,
I have just recently turned eleven so, basically, I'm ten.
But, I have 2 brothers who are the same age as me, we're triplets! They have a special need so, one, Benjamin can't walk. Mason, can just not very much. So, for therapy they did riding. I came along because I love horses and they let me ride. I learned the basics like steering, walking, etc, etc. Then, we moved to Texas and we went to a therapudic riding place and I rode trails, learned to trot and went over cavaletty pulls, etc. Then, we moved to AZ and I cantered and jumped! Now, jumping is my favorite sport! We love Sedona too! We went there for summer last year! We have not been to the deer farm, though. It sounds fun, we'll have to try it! I have looked for pictures. I found one of me and Marci. Pluto will look different than he does now because he just got his hair cut. I'll try to send the pictures to you as soon as possible. Do I just e-mail them to you? I'm glad we're horse pals.
Write soon!
love your horse pal,

Hi Cl@ire~
Wow, you've been riding since you were 4! How old are you now? I can't wait to see a picture of you and Marci. I would like to see a picture of Pluto too.
I live in sunny California. One of my favorite places in AZ is Sedona and sometimes we go there for Christmas. It is really beautiful there. We especially love the deer farm. I would like to be your friend! We can officially be horse pals... get it:) When I was little I wanted to be a vet but today I want to be a horseback rider.
I like your new hobby ha ha I am enjoying blogging too! Funny joke ... keep them coming! I love Dandy's new tack, too! It really suits her.
Talk to you again soon,
love

Araya,
This has become a hobbie for me. Blogging on Araya's website, riding, and playing with my mom, our dog and Marci. I posted a joke for you. I hope you like it! I love Dandy's tack so much I can't stop looking at the pictures! She is TOO cute! I have to go. Pluto just got a haircut (He's so cute!) and is dying for some more of the treats we got him at Petsmart!

Hi Araya,
I've been riding since I was four but jumping since I was 8.
Marci is rented from my riding instructor because I was there to rescue him so, obviously, we wanted to part-time own him. I've had him for almost a year and am glad that we chose to rescue him instead of one of the other horses because he is really so sweet. I'll try to send you a picture. I'm going riding today and I will tell my trainer, Mrs.Rosie that you went on the site. She'll be glad to hear it. Where do you live? I live in Arizona and even if we never meet I'de like to be your friend. I want to be a horsebackrider and veterinarian when I grow up. I'de like to help horses and ride them. Did you hear about The superstar pony, Teddy O'connor's death? Isn't that horrible? I am on the phone with my friend Grace right now. She loves horses too and wants to be horse physical therapist. I loved writing to you. Thanks for writing to me!
Can you write to me again? I really like hearing from you.
love,
cl@ire Shrader

Hi Cl@ire~
Thanks for writing me. That is great that you rescued Marci! How long have you had him? I would love to see a picture of you and/or Marci and if you send me one at araya@stabledays.net, I can put it on my blog, You could also draw a picture and send it to me and I can add it to the scrapbook of artwork. Araya,
I love horses,too!
My horse, Marci, is from an Indian reservatoin, where they beat and abused him. After being rescued and loved, he's now one of the fastest and sweetest horses at the barn! We just went over his first triple jump so, I know the magestic feeling you and Dandy felt! It's amazing! Checkout my barn's website:

Araya,
I love to ride,too!
My horse is Marci,an Indian horse. He was beaten and abused on the reservation. But, once rescued and given a lot of love, I trained him to jump (just recently!)and, he's the fastest horse I've ever ridden! We just went over his first triple jump a week ago so, I know what an incredible feeling it is, as well!
