Hi Everyone ~ I'm very, very, very excited to tell you that I got a horse! I thought it would be fun to journal my adventures with her and share the journey with you. Her name is Dandy; she's 6 years old and she's a beautiful paint and mostly white. The first time I rode her, I loved her! Her trot is so graceful ... I feel like I'm trotting in the air! She's a green horse so my trainer, Lisa and I are going to train her. I can't wait to teach her how to jump ... we've had a few jumping lessons and she did good. This week I'm working on the flat - I'm working on her not bulging in her circles and slowing down in the canter. So far, so good. See you around the barn!

You know, the color green!! Hehe!! A green horse is one that is young and needs training. It usually means you need to train them in everything from grooming to tacking up to flatwork to eventually jumping. I enjoy riding green horses because it's a great challenge. I also like to help Lisa train horses who need training. I used to ride a small horse named Mary who was really fast in the trot and canter and I would work on slowing her down and maintaining her speed.

Thanks, Ciara! I really love her ... I just got back from riding her and my trainer Lisa's Jack Russell named Parker was in the arena with us. He always love to lay in the dirt - it's so funny to see all of the horses work around him. How's Annie? I'd love to see a photo of you both.

Congratulations you got a new horse! It is very pretty. My dog Annie likes the pictures. She thinks Dandy is a dog like her. I hope you have a good time with your horse.
