Hi Horse Pals,
My 1st book review is going to be about Felicity, an American Girl. I absolutely love this 6 book series and have read them over and over again!
These books follow Felicity, a nine year old girl growing up in Colonial America on her many adventures. The series takes place in 1774, around the time of the Revolutionary War and Felicity would much rather ride horses than stitch and mind her manners. In the first book, Meet Felicity, she hears that there is a new horse in town and she wants to see it! Felicity is determined to see the horse for herself but things do not always go as planned!
This is a very good series and I think that anyone who loves any animals or a good book should read it!
Hi Horse Pals,
As you know by now, I LOVE to read so when Erica wrote me with this idea, I was so excited! We have had a column called Stable Mates' Favorite Books and now we are going to start reviewing our favorite horse books (and any others we love) to give all of our Horse Pals good book ideas.
In our Amazon store (on the left column of the blog), you can check out some of our favorites and when you shop there, we also give a portion to animal rescue.
Thanks for the 1st review, Erica. This should be a really fun column! We look forward to hearing from other Horse Pals, too!

Hi Horse Pals,
A while ago I read this really good book called Horse Sense. It is one of the many Saddle Club books by Bonnie Bryant.
In this book Carole, Stevie, and Lisa have formed the Saddle Club together and have learned to horseback ride. The girls are best friends but, in this book they get wrapped up in their own projects and don't have much time left for each other. Stevie is planning for a gymkhana, and Carole in helping the vet with Delilah who is going to have a foal. Lisa, feeling a bit left out decides to make rules for the Saddle Club. Soon the girls forget what the Saddle club is for; helping each other, sticking together, and having fun. Will the girls come together or face their challenges on their own?
This was a really great book and I never wanted to stop reading it. I would recommend it to any one who like horses.
Your horse pal, Erica

CALLING ALL BARN MATES! I've had a request from a horse pal wanting everyone to share their favorite horse books. Let us know the name and author of the book along with a bit about why you like it and we may add it to the Stable Days Store of must-have horse items! I can't wait to hear from you!
